I understand that the selection of a framework to build something is kind of the first stone: now everything has to be compatible/work nicely with this one big piece you put first.
I am confident that django will have enough plugins, libraries and resources to help me implement my vision. Some of these will include:
- social login
- payments
- deployments and A/B testing
For now I am not worrying about those things and focusing on the functionality itself of the app, or what people will call a MVP.
So I have for long time now thinking that django will be the language/framework/tool that I will use to create my (many) SaaS ideas. Why? I don’t know, I like the name, toyed with it around a bit and python is cool and all.
I am in the process of learning the language in a deeper level than ever (isn’t that always the case?) and going over multiple hello worlds and other simple apps (think yet-another-to-do-app) to grasp the framework better.
So yeah, just a simple post to tell you all that I am using django for this.
What is to write to the internet nowadays and let the words flow? Is this just an exercise to train the AI on what a “normal” text looks like?
This chaiwrite.com domain was one of the many SaaS ideas I got long ago and the one I believe it could become something interesting (barely profitable even) but it is for now a blog about the thoughts about doing it rather than the app itself.
Will writing about the dev process help me do it at the end? Would I replace this with the real app someday? Time will tell.
